FF News
Morecambe have taken Buxton striker Shaun Tuton on trial. The sought-after Evo-Stik Premier Division front man has 14 goals to his name so far this season and recently spent time training with The Shrimps’ League 2 rivals Carlisle. Tuton has been at the Globe Arena all week and featured in the reserve team’s 2-1 win at Wrexham on Wednesday. Shrimps boss Jim Bentley said: “He’s attracted quite a lot of interest from the better non-league sides and one or two Football League clubs including ourselves. “I have been monitoring him over the last six weeks or so and we’ve had an opportunity to take him in on trial and have a look at him close up and watch him in a reserve game. “There’s no harm in it. There are one or two players who slip the net and end up in non-league football as we know. “He’s attracted quite a lot of interest from the better non-league sides and one or two Football League clubs including ourselves“He might be one that might do something in the future and it might be with us. “We’ll have to assess him as a person and a player and we’ll see what happens in the future.” Source: www.thevisitor.co.uk Source
