FF News
Bishops Stortford striker James Walker has been called up for the Antigua and Barbuda pre-World Cup qualifying friendly games. Walker is named in the Antigua and Barbuda squad for three home friendly games against US Virgin Islands (March 8), Dominica (March 15) and British Virgin Islands (March 21). The Bena Boys face Saint Lucia home and away in the opening stage of World Cup qualifying in June and Rolston Williams will be using this month’s matches to prepare his side for the teams against a nation who are ranked 41 places them in 140th spot in the FIBA rankings. Walker made two appearances for England under-18 in 2005 and played what is currently his only game for Antigua and Barbuda as a 75th minute substitute in their 1-0 defeat to Guatemala in September 2012. While Blues’ players have had England non-league and amateur international call-ups in the past, and more recently goalkeeper Jordan Archer was a regular in the Scotland under-21 side while on loan from Spurs, Walker becomes the first player from the club to be called for a full international while on our books.
