The 2014-15 Doodson Sport Cup final will be between Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division North rivals Warrington Town and Farsley AFC following the latter's `upset` in their Wednesday night semi-final.

The Yorkshire outfit beat Premier Division Ramsbottom United 2-1 at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium to make it through to the final at a venue and date expected to be confirmed this week.

Farsley took a 15th minute lead when Josh Grant beat his man on the left and cut inside before giving Grant Shenton in the Ramsbottom goal no chance.

But on 32 minutes the home side grabbed an equaliser, Osebi Abadaki firing his shot into the far corner of Tom Taylor’s goal.

The front paring of Aiden Savory and Andy Welsh were looking a handful for the home defence, and indeed it was Welsh who was instrumental in the build-up as Farsley took the lead just seven minutes into the second half.

Receiving the ball midway inside the Ramsbottom half before running at and beating his man, Welsh squared for Robbie O’Brien to give the keeper no chance and hand Farsley a 2-1 lead.
