Rainworth Miners Welfare have unveiled former Shirebrook Town boss Julian Watts as their new manager

The former Sheffield Wednesday and Luton Town defender resigned from the Langwith Road post earlier this week after lifting Shirebrook to fourth place in Northern Counties East League Division One, and Wrens chairman Les Lee has moved quickly to secure the services of Watts.

Watts brings with him from Shirebrook his assistant manager Ady Smith, who led the Wrens' reserve side to the Central Midlands Reserve Supreme Division title in 2013-14 before that side was withdrawn as an economy measure.

Meanwhile Rainworth expect to be informed within the next few days into which league they have been placed by the FA National Leagues Committee.
