Played some nice stuff in the first half

Good headed goal from Max to go 1-0

Second half we seemed to drop off the pace and Bedfont had a couple of good chances

Max and Jack went close to adding to our tally

But the game petered out and we closed it out for another 3points. Well Done all!

Fed up with talking about Refs.

The fact is, 95% of them are atrocious at this level.

They fail at applying the fundamental laws of the game.

It's a given that win lose or draw the ref will be the most influential part of the match.

Lewis was taken off after a few minutes play, presumably a recurrence of his knee injury. Fortunately Russ was on the bench and he played well alongside George.

 

The goal was mainly down to a superb corner from Alex, driven at pace to the near corner, just asking to be headed in and it was!

 

We played some excellent football but  lacked a cutting edge, only really looking to threaten the Bedfont goal when hitting the woodwork in the last few minutes.

 

Bedfont played a direct game in the second half,  which produced 3 " nailed on chances". It was incredible that their forwards didn't even hit the target with any of them.

 

We picked up 3 silly bookings for kicking the ball away, dissent and time-wasting. Whatever you think of the ref, we cannot afford to keep picking up yellow cards, it may prove costly with suspensions to key players.
