FF News
Lincoln Moorlands Railway have announced that Tom Richardson is the new manager of their Toolstation NCEL Division One side following the departure of Mick Fairweather last week. 28-year-old Richardson, who was previous manager at Dunkirk, comes with a wealth of experience at non-league level. Tom has asked previous trainer Phil Skayman to help run the side and will also be bringing in Chris Hamilton as player/assistant manager, a physio and a kit man. President Brian Stanton said: "This is very exciting news. "This season has been a struggle on and off the pitch and we have full respect with the previous management team but we fully recognised the work they put in and the reasons for leaving. "Now is the time for all to pull together." Tom has a Level 2 coaching badge and is currently working on his UEFA B licence and is looking forward to his first game on Saturday at Selby Town to try and move the team up the league and avoid relegation. Secretary Mark Hodds added: "We had several people apply for the position once Mick Fairweather had resigned and Tom was the best of the lot by a long way and the committee have given the full backing to Tom who is confident we can get out of the position we are currently in. "I wish Mick and Darren all the best for the future as they put so much work into the team." Moorlands Railway want to also thank Matt Wilson for his hard work taking over the team whilst under this process.
