FF News
Winger James McQuilkin was frustrated to see Kidderminster Harriers come away empty-handed from Grimsby Town on Saturday after going so close to gaining a share of the spoils. Dave Hockaday’s men were defensively resolute at Blundell Park and frustrated one of the division’s promotion contenders. One momentary lapse in the second half gave the home side a lead that they eventually saw to the finish, but that wasn’t without Harriers causing an almighty scare with Gurjit Singh and Ben Whitfield going close. “It’s frustrating because this is a difficult place to come and I thought we’d ground the game out,” said McQuilkin. “We conceded a bit of a scruffy goal on our part but if we can keep playing like that then we’ll pick up more points on the road. “If we could have strung our passes together a bit better and got a foothold on the game, we did have the chances. “We should have been coming away with a point [but] we’ll keep going – all we can do is that, and work hard.” Source: www.harriers.co.uk Source
