FF News
Young goalkeeper Callum Bastock has been handed a contract extension by Grimsby Town. The promising 18-year-old suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury last season which saw his season as a second year YT cut short. However, Mariners` boss Paul Hurst vowed to stick by the player, handing him a six-month contract with the club. Recovery from the serious injury has been slow and the Town boss has now given the Boston-born stopper – and son of current Dunstable Town veteran keeper Paul Bastock - more time to prove himself with the Mariners. The deal will keep him at Blundell Park until at least the end of the season. Source: www.footballconference.co.uk Source
