Widdrington strengthens Borough backroom staff

Tommy Widdrington has strengthened his backroom staff at Eastbourne Borough with the addition of Hugo Langton.

The experienced and highly-regarded Langton was a key figure last season in masterminding Bromley's championship-winning campaign in the National League South.

Restructuring at the Kent club, who now travel the length of the country in the National League, has freed up Langton and Widdrington moved swiftly to snap him up.

The A-Licence UEFA coach has worked at high level with Charlton Athletic and Gillingham, and is also a leading authority on scouting, assessing and match analysis.

Langtron has already worked with the Boro first-team in training.

"I am delighted to have a man of Hugo's calibre on board," said Widdrington. "He brings great experience, a very sharp football brain and a track record of winning. We will let his duties evolve rather than writing down a job description at this stage.

"Our coaching team is already strong, and I must also mention the superb contribution of Chris Agutter, who has shown terrific leadership of the Academy as well as being at my shoulder with the first team. But there is always space for extra input and wisdom, and Hugo provides just that. I'm sure everyone at the club will join me in welcoming him to Priory Lane."
