FF News
Tooting & Mitcham United have been doing no harm to their reputation as one of the Ryman League's most community minded clubs. The Wandsworth Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society is promising to advertise the club's fixtures as a thank you after the Terrors belied their nickname to lay on a five star welcome for members of the charity who were guests of honour at the KNK Stadium earlier this month. Before seeing Frank Wilson's side draw 2-2 with Whitstable Town in Ryman South and being entertained in the boardroom, the group were treated to a tour of the stadium and its community facilities. Pictured with Terrors chairman Steve Adkins and the visit's organiser Steve Harold, most importantly, they left for home with a donation of £251.98, the proceeds of a bucket collection among generous fans. In their letter to the south London club, Jack Wood, the leader of the charity's Wandsworth branch, wrote: "I cannot express too strongly our gratitude to you, your chairman, secretary, directors and supporters for the warmest welcome and care you showed us. It was truly heart warming." Source: www.isthmian.co.uk Source
