FF News
Tamworth player-manager, Andy Morrell, was a happy man after seeing his side return to winning ways with a 5-3 triumph at Stalybridge Celtic. It was also a special day for Danny Newton who hit four of our goals. “There were so many positives,” said Morrell. “Obviously it worked well between Danny [Newton] and Elliott [Durrell] up front, but there were impressive performances all over the pitch. “I wanted us to start well and we certainly did that; we were superb in the first half and caused our hosts all sorts of problems. “To go in at the break four goals to the good away from home is fantastic. We conceded early after the restart and this gave Stalybridge some impetus and we had to work hard and withstand some pressure. “When it went to 5-3 I thought that we did well to take the sting out of the game and play it out. “We needed that win; it keeps us in the mix and will give us the confidence to take into our next game. “We’ll be looking to put a bit of a run together.” Source: www.thelambs.co.uk Source
