FF News
The EBAC Northern League have put in a request to extend their season by one week and it has now been confirmed that the FA have accepted the request. Extreme weather conditions have caused a major backlog with some clubs, including FA Vase hopefuls Morpeth Town, have as many as twenty four league games left to play before the scheduled final day of the season on Saturday 30th April. That has now been extended to Saturday 7th May. The Northern League confirmed the decision on their website with the following statement: "The FA has approved a season extension from April 30 to May 7, following a request from the league. The chairman and vice-chairman of the FA's leagues committee have also said that they will consider a further extension in early March if the situation regarding a fixture backlog continues to deteriorate" Source: www.northernleague.org Source
