Macclesfield Town will return to National League action this weekend looking to get back to winning ways as they host Wrexham at the Moss Rose.

Macc will go into the game buoyed by the latest addition to the side, in the form of former Burton Albion midfielder Jimmy Phillips.

Phillips joined the Silkmen on a month loan from Gateshead and manager John Askey has spoken to the club website about his addition and what he can bring to the side.

He said: “Jimmy is a good footballer and hopefully he will be able to get hold of the ball for us and that is something we have stopped doing in games recently, we have stopped controlling games like we were.

“We need to get back to what we were doing at the start of the season, which passing the ball and playing good football.”
