FF News
Former Billericay Town captain Paul Konchesky is in talks with Isthmian North side Grays Athletic. Konchesky departed the AGP Arena last month, having joined Glenn Tamplin's side in March. And Grays boss Jamie Stuart, who knows Konchesky from their time together at Charlton Athletic, admitted that he is looking to add Konchesky to his squad and coaching staff. Stuart, who enjoyed a stint with Southend United, said: "I've had a good chat with Paul and we're in the middle of talks at the moment. "I'm good friends with him. We were at the Charlton Athletic legends game (which celebrated 25 years since The Valley reopened) a couple of months ago. "I still speak to him and a lot of them from my time at Charlton. "We're quite close, but we can't offer him anywhere near the amount of money he was on at Billericay. "But it's not about the money. If he can come and help us, that would be great. We will wait and see what happens." Read more: http://www.basildonstandard.co.uk Source
