I'm sure Bovingdon will want to wish former supremo Lee Bircham all the best following his appointment at Vauxhall Road this morning, Lee was an absolute Godsend and in his two years at Green Lane led the Club to, firstly, runners up spot in the Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division in 2016/17 and then the Championship in 2017/18 and promotion to the SSML before he left for Broadwater to be assistant Manager to Steve Bateman and now look where he is. Bovingdon made the following tearful statement in June 2018 when Lee walked out of the door:

BIRCHAM RESIGNS - We’ve today received the news that First Team manager Lee Bircham has resigned from his role at the club.‬

Everyone at the club would like to place on record their thanks to Lee for his tireless work over the 2 years he’s been in charge.

He’s been a breath of fresh air for the club and it was fantastic to cap that off with our first premier league title.‬

We wish Lee all the best for the future and h‪e will always be welcome back here at Green Lane! ?

A bit after the Lord Mayors Show but interesting YouTube action from Bovingdon's visit to Knebworth in a 2013/14 Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division fixture on Saturday 10 May 2014, resulting in an exciting 3-3 stalemate. Bovingdon finished that campaign in thirteenth spot with Knebworth relegated, it was then a year on year improvement for the Green  Lane Club until they finally reached the promised land in 2017/18 under Lee Bircham, winning the Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division Championship with the Reserve team winning Division One:

Just the one photo from Bovingdon's visit to Knebworth in a 2012/13 Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division encounter, at Knebworth's Recreation Ground on Saturday 8 September 2012, Bovingdon won 2-0 with strikes from James Bundey and Ed Canham, the latter who I believe was with Harpenden Town last season, PetetheGreek's friend Len Wilcock was refereeing that afternoon:

Already posted on the Buckingham Athletic thread however over 100 photographs, courtesy of Sports Shots, from the pre-season friendly at a sweltering Stratford Fields between Buckingham Athletic and Bovingdon on Tuesday 11 August 2020, resulting in a surprise 2-0 win for Bovingdon although their goalkeeper had an inspired afternoon and wouldn't have been beaten in a month of Sunday's:

Oh no, you're not going to believe this folks but it's him again, the Grounhopping FC guy who was at the Berkhamsted v Bovingdon pre-season friendly at Broadwater on Thursday evening (27 August), it was a surprise 1-1 stalemate with an outstanding performance by Bovingdon especially their young goalkeeper:

Bovingdon entertain Buckingham United on Saturday 19 September in their first SSML Division Two fixture of the new campaign, they then welcome Totternhoe to Green Lane the following Saturday so boss Andy Stratford will be rather hoping for six points to kick off with. Home form last season however was exceptionally poor with just two wins at Green Lane from early August to when the curtain prematurely came down in mid March, compare that to the 2018/19 campaign when it was a fortress of Alamo proportions with Bovingdon winning the Division Two Championship and ending with a 13-0 win over Clean Slate as well as meting out 8-0 and 7-1 drubbings to The 61 FC (Luton) and Grendon Rangers respectively.
