Bulletin, the FA will contribute £100 per match to Club's playing FA Vase ties behind closed doors, this will also apply retrospectively to Club's who have played games without fans in the earlier rounds of the competition due to the pedantic Covid restrictions, the payment is on top of the prize money won. That's big of the FA isn't it, I assume is will be a payment to both Club's and not just the home side so it will be £200 per tie.

The delayed Guildford City v Walton & Hersham FA Vase Third Round tie on Saturday, for the right to travel to Leighton Town in the Fourth Round, will be streamed live for just £3.99 or £4.99 for a seven day viewing package:

Guildford City are a goal up in one of the four outstanding FA Vase Third Round ties taking place this afternoon and their goalkeeper has saved a penalty so it looks like they will be visiting Leighton Town next Saturday in the Fourth Round. Who heard their new boss Paul Barnes on yesterday's Non League Show, Joe Sweeney certainly won't be inviting him into his office at Bell Close for a glass of Barca Velha as he will never get rid of him:

Congratulations to Walton & Hersham for surprisingly beating Guildford City this afternoon, 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 stalemate after ninety minutes, they will now travel to Leighton Town next Saturday. North Ferriby, Binfield and Plymouth Parkway were also victorious and progress to the Fourth Round.

Gonna be some commentary team as well isn’t it... ?

Yes but it looks like you are going to have to move the kick off time doesn't it:

The FA’s plan for fixtures on Sat 17 April

“As a mark of respect, The FA will be recommending that no football fixtures take place between 14:45 and 16:15. FA Vase 4th Round will also be moved and we have asked participating clubs to agree a suitable revised kick off time”.

Should Leighton Town beat Walton & Hersham on Saturday they will travel to another Surrey based Club Cobham in the Fifth Round of the competition, Cobham ply their trade in the Combined Counties League Premier Division and play at Leg O' Mutton Field in the heart of the 'Stockbroker Belt':

An update on the two FA Vase and FA Trophy Finals days next month, lets hope that Leighton Town are part of it on Saturday 22 May with no doubt AlwaysLeighton in attendance ?. You have to have sympathy for Consett and Hebburn Town as well as Harrogate Town and Concord Rangers as those Finals are behind closed doors due to the pedantic Government regulations:

Such a shame for Hebburn, Consett, Harrogate and Concord. Really feel for them.

A long way to go before any Wembley talk Rhodes... ;)

I think Leighton Town's FA Vase Fifth Round draw could have been a lot worse should they, as anticipated, get through tomorrow at Bell Close, okay it's away from home but then so was Wolverhampton Sporting Communty in 2017/18 and Bradford Town last season:

AlwaysLeighton - I will give it some thought and let you know in the morning, were there any stand out players in the Walton & Hersham side as I know you and Joe Sweeney attended the Third Round tie at Guildford City last week, how were you and Joe able to negotiate getting in to watch it:

As for stand out players, no. No one really took the game by the scruff but, rust and no regular game time I’m sure played  part.

Always Leighton - Thanks, I just thought maybe that was you behind the goal disguised as a ball boy. As for this evening, I don't think it will be a walk in the park by any means, Walton & Hersham are no mugs and have won five ties to get this far, four of them against decent Step Five Club's, it's worrying to read a report of their 6-1 win at Step 5 Steyning Town in the Second Round proper who had won 9-1 in the round before. I'll go for a 2-1 win for Leighton Town, good luck and also with the live stream:

A nice touch by Risborough Rangers wishing Leighton Town good luck this evening, hopefully not that they will be needing it:
