Northampton Sileby Rangers was awash with high profile scouts this afternoon watching Winslow United's Curtis Brown who didn't disappoint them with a classy goal and had a hand in the other three goals from Rio Deall, Abu Khan and Alex McGowan after the hosts had surprisingly led 2-0 at the interval.

Disappointing defeat for Jets in a highly entertaining game, the only goal coming in the 49th minute from a wickedly deflected shot which was heading for one corner but diverted into the other, totally wrong footing the debutant keeper who had a great game and didn't deserve that. His first minute save will live long in the memory, tipping over a fierce shot from the edge of the box. Didn't catch his name but either is or has been at Stevenage, and it showed he was used to a higher level.

Very impressed with Dunstable, lovely club all round, and their team did them proud. I understand they've been through what we have this season and are emerging out the other side, on this performance they will shoot up the table, they were first to everything and hit the bar as well.

Just wasn't our day, hit the bar twice from range, missed at least three others which looked easier to score than miss from inside the six yard box but not to be. Talismanic defender Ferrell Charles did his hamstring having not put a foot wrong as usual, then to add insult to injury manager Kevin Christou got a straight red for remonstrating with the ref after the final whistle.
