What a win for former SSML Club Biggleswade Town last night in their FA Cup Third Qualifying Round Replay, 3-0 over Isthmian League Premier Division Billericay Town, they now travel to National League South Farnborough with the possibility of repeating their heady 2013/14 exploits by reaching the First Round proper. The Club have come a long way since leaving Fairfield in 2006 all thanks to Wader, formerly of this Parish, the groundhopper from another Forum was at Wader's Carlsberg Stadium last night who painstakingly lists all the players:

FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round Replay
Biggleswade Town 3-0 Billericay Town

Admission - £10, Attendance - unconfirmed
Venue: The Yvette Brewer Stadium (Langford Road) - On the outskirts of Biggleswade, this was a 261st ground for me. Set back off the road, there is a decent amount of parking and another 11 a side pitch with dugouts to the right of the lane. There is a long single story building with the clubhouse, changing rooms etc. On the touchline is the main stand which is a large modern eBay seated stand which seats around 500 I believe. Offset behind one goal is a small covered standing shelter. The opposite touchline with the dugouts has another small standing shelter central to the touchline. All 4 sides are available for hard standing.
Game - Billericay were by far the superior side in the first 10 minutes with relentless pressing and at a very quick pace. That being said, Biggleswade looked excellent at what they did and didn’t make any mistakes. The best early chances fell to the Waders with a direct free kick well saved. The Waders took the lead when a corner was placed right onto the line and Billericay just decided that the ball was a grenade and moved away allowing the ball to be bundled in. It was a quick fire second when a sloppy pass from a Billericay defender was countered upon by 3 relentless Waders down the right and precisely finished to make it 2-0. Billericay had some half chances going into half time but nothing too troubling for the Waders keeper.
The second half was all Billericay but they didn’t muster a proper chance until around the 70th minute when a header was well saved by the Waders keepers feet. Yet again, against the play, a counter from Waders saw a long range effort swerve and squirm under the Billericay keepers fingers, 3-0. The third goal killed the game off and any efforts from Billericay were minimal. A well deserved victory for the home side in a game where they were clinical with their chances.

The draw for the Second Round of the FA Cup sees Boreham Wood travel to Bristol Rovers following their comfortable First Round victory over Eastleigh on Saturday:

Again I was not sure whether Karen intended to post the FA Vase Third Round draw as I didn't want to tread on her toes, ties to be played during the weekend of Saturday 3 December. It's disappointing that Dunstable Town and Tring Athletic have been drawn together however Biggleswade United, Leighton Town and St Panteleimon all have winnable ties:

It's a winnable tie for Biggleswade United against Eastern Counties League Premier Division Lakenheath, the Club have never progressed past the Second Round of the FA Vase previously and have already put Southend Manor, White Ensign, Redbridge and London Lions to the sword in the competition this season:

Not SSML but it is one of the best weekend's of the football season with the FA Cup Third Round taking place, unfortunately only three Non League Club's take part, in Wrexham, Boreham Wood and Chesterfield, all from the National League:
