Whitewebbs Park

I like Spurs and am gratefull for all the support that they have given to ETFC over the years but, I was alarmed to read in this weeks Private Eye that the council are thinking of selling Whitewebbs Park to Spurs for their ladies team.

I have wallked regularly through Whitewebs Park and Forty Hall and as a child enjoyed rescuing golf balls from the stream through the park and in the rough. I would also like to add that if Spurs wanted to develop that area of the green belt there is vacant land in Bullsmoor Lane where Fergusons used to hold their annual sports day. The Spurs training pitch of Whitewebs Lane also has plenty of land which can be developed.

I konw things got bad for the area around Whitewebbs when I was there a couple of years ago and noted that the muddy paths I used to walk around have been "developed" with MacAdamisation using stone chippings.

Couldn’t agree more Steph.  First the Council refuse to reopen the public golf course citing that it makes a huge loss, when you can drive a tank through their financial arguments.  Now this!  I do wonder whether incentives to sell have made their way to bank accounts in a certain part of the Mediterranean!

I’m surprised that you have only just come across this.

Did all of my teenage courting in and around Forty Hall and Whitewebbs, with a lot of visits to The King and Tinker...this would be a tragic move!

Bullsmore Lane Park has been shit for years...redevelop that?
