Enfield Town v Potters Bar Town FA Cup

I thought this starting 11 looked strong and so it proved. An excellent performance, particularly as Potters Bar had strengthened since we played them away in the league a few weeks ago.

Payne returned at left back, meaning Parcell returned to right back (where he looks most comfortable). Richmond and Okotcha have already formed a very dependable CB partnership so this was a good back 4.

The midfield of Sam Youngs, Scott Thomas, Sami Bessadi and Ollie Knight all played very well. The manager has put the right players in the right positions and told them to play football.

Wyllie and Beckles-Richards up front give us pace. Still short of attacking cover but we need to be patient and trust the manager to find the right player.

Wyllie could (and should) have had a hat-trick. His first goal came after poaching the ball from a defender who dwelled, sprinting towards goal and selling the GK a beautiful dummy before tapping into an empty net. Really good finish. He had 2 other good chances after similar runs, both times shooting over when well placed.

Sam Youngs got the second from a diving header from a lovely Ollie Knight corner. Both were sloppy goals to concede but we were well on top all game and played some really good, incisive football on the deck.

Joe Payne got our third in the second half after a good run and cross at speed from the left which the PBT GK made an absolute hash of, somehow allowing it to get past him and roll into the far corner.

And really good to see Jordan Adeoye, our young Academy debutant, get on for the last few minutes and get a huge cheer after his first touch of the ball! Not much to say other than he played CB and is tall, but so good to see the link that the Manager has already spoken about (between Academy and first team) come to fruition. Hope he gets more game time so we can see more of him.

Definitely the best performance of all the matches I have seen so far, very impressive. We go into our next league game vs. Bognor playing well and full of confidence.
