Eynesbury United's report on the Huntingdonshire FA Intermediate Cup Final last Wednesday:

Hunts Intermediate Cup Final
Hemingfords United (0) 0 Eynesbury Utd (0) 0
Eynesbury United win 4-3 on penalties
The young Bulls held their nerve to take home the Hunts Cup after a penalty shootout.
The hero was keeper Dylan Martin who saved two penalties and made a spectacular one handed save in the first half to keep the game all square. Hemingfords came out with all guns blazing and could have scored after 30 seconds but good goalkeeping and defending saw United remain on parity. Hemingfords continued to doninate and Martin again was busy making two saves from weak efforts.
United grew into the game with Robbie Woodward producing some quality passing, but they failed to fire in the final third. All square at the break and the second half was very much the same with both sides trying to out do each other in the "who can kick the ball furthest" competition.
Ellis Ogle was dangerous for Hemingfords and he had a good chance when breaking through but Gauge did a good job showing him down the outside and his shot was easily saved.
Ryan Baxter then closed down Smith in the Hemingford goal, and the ball rebounded towards the goal and hit the post.
Iwen Jones had a weak shot saved and the game became very scrappy. The game sailed towards 90 minutes with no further chances and off to penalties we went.
Hemingfords saw their first penalty pushed on to the bar by Martin. United were confident with their spot kicks and no more than young Joe Morralee who stepped up to slot his home, very cool indeed. At 4-3 Hemingfords keeper Dan Smith stepped up knowing he had to score, he hit it well but Martin sprang to his right and pushed the ball away.
Cue big scenes with players and Management alike celebrating a great victory, even though it was a school night the Bulls celebrated in style and certainly enjoyed their time in the spotlight. A huge thanks to everyone who came out and supported us on a very wet night. The Bulls are in the Quarter Finals of the League Cup on Saturday when they travel to Berkhamstead, kick off 3.00pm. Brilliant night and result and a magnificent performance by the boys.
