With two of the games I had been thinking going being called off I decided to play safe and go to a match guaranteed to be on! Milton Keynes play at Sport Central off Elder Gate and its very close to the main station. Unfortunately there is so spectator access to the cage which doesn't help to give a decent view of the game. The far side of the cage has a slight grass bank which helps give a slightly better view!
This was third against top but wasn't the best of games not helped by a torrential rain storm for most of the first half. The one advantage of playing on a 3G surface because it absolutely hammered down. Welwyn looked the better team and took the lead on 33 minutes. The second half was a lot better and Welwyn increased their lead on 77 minutes and were comfortable winners.
Attendance of 30. Hot drinks were available from the Club room. Good to meet Ray Groves again.
