I haven’t heard what he’s said, but not surprised if he’s got a ban for mocking female referees….. it’s totally unacceptable nowadays.

He wasn't mocking female referees Curtis. It was a throw away joke he made about needing to help them park their cars. He made it in February and the league has been investigating since🙈😂.

It was 100% a joke, mocking the stereotype of women drivers and it is a bigger joke that after 6 months of "investigation" he got a 6 game touchline ban. Ridiculous.

Basically means you could break someone's leg and end their career in a challenge and get banned for HALF the amount of time he has. Game has totally gone.

Marc White has just produced a pre season catch up interview and in that he say's what we all know that they are still a part time club doing morning training sessions.

The remarkable bit for me was him saying that for this coming season they've reduced their budget a bit by 300k.

Reduced by £300k? How high was it! That’s probably our entire yearly budget!!!

I reckon our budget is a lot less than 300k.

Probably nearer the 200k mark.

So about £5k per week based on a 40 week season?

Possibly but that’s only an average of £250 per player in a 20 man squad. Seems low but if true then highlights just how well we’ve done to stay at this level.

Around the time when the season which got cut short due to COVID, Marc White was concerned about having to hand money back to the clubs sponsors.

A figure of £700k or there abouts was being quoted by Marc.

So with inflation and the way the money at this level is increasing, it would not be unreasonable to say they have a budget of around £1 million.

To then reduce the budget by £300k due to relegation from the NL is more than possible.

It just shows how much money the "rich" clubs in the NLS have.

Don't forget that the Ebbsfleet owner has loss about £2 million a season for the last 4-5 years. Puts things into perspective a little I'd say.

Is this the first touchline ban that Marc White has received? Or is the severity of this ban possibly a consequence of any past indiscretions?

He has had loads of bans Curtis. I think from memory the longest was 8 games so certainly not accumulative as it would be longer than the 6 he got.

Regardless, any ban for this type of thing is a joke in itself IMO.

Squad of around 20 with 6 or 7 youngsters in the squad.

I reckon some of the senior players are on 3/400 a week and the youngsters are on a lot less.

Ok it was done in a jokey manner but in this day and age anything derogatory that's said towards females is always likely to be frowned upon and receive some sort of punishment.

A joke is a joke IMO. If he was "abusing" a female referees directly because she was a female, ban him for the whole season, no place for it in the game. It was clearly a stereotype JOKE. Biggest joke is the ban the guy got from it and that it took almost 6 months for the brain surgeons that run our league to decide on a punishment.
