v Southall (pre-season game)

Players that stood out for me in the first half were Tyrique Clarke and Jaiden Drakes-Thomas.

For understandable reasons players that looked short of match fitness/sharpness imo were Jordan Greenidge and Tyrese Dyce.

Players that took the eye in the second half were Wiktor Makowski, Roth and Trialist B (trialist F from Friday's game).

At the moment we don't know who trialist F/B is but the lads certainly got ability and pace down the wing.

i know it is early doors but i still feel we have defensive frailties we have shipped two goals in two games against lower league opposition which worries me a little

It’s a non competitive meaningless match, I wouldn’t worry yet!

Glen, yes it's meaningless points wise but important as far as getting players match fitness and getting them to gel especially for this coming season with all the changes.

We haven't got a settled back line yet with Reiss Greenidge absent for both games and Tyrese Dyce only having played 45 minutes.

I was reacting to HT’s OTT comment not the pre season in general.

Hopefully pre agreed holiday/time off and not an injury!

i would consider your reaction a little ott glenn as i said it is a bit early but i would like it sorted out before it is important

We’ve conceded just 2 goals in 2 friendlies which the result really doesn’t mean much, so to say it worries you is MASSIVELY OTT! Give the team a chance remember it’s a basically a brand new team, you can’t judge any department yet.

Agree you can't judge any department yet but I think you can judge individual performances.

It's been great that in our first 2 pre season games we've included not only trialists but players from EDS but there has to come a time, possibly starting with the Brentford game where defensive, midfield and striker partnerships will need to start being forged.
