Yes, it was the first time that Forest Green have taken over two hundred to an away match. roflmao.gif

The lowest that I can find from confguide are:

03/04 255 Margate v FGR

02/03 305 Leigh v F'boro

01/02 325 Leigh v Dover

00/01 281 Telford v Leigh

Before that, their archives appear to ignore attendances and their all-time only features the highest (a positive attitude from them, good to see!)

But Gateshead's average attendance in 83/84 was only 289.... invariably their lowest home gate for that season SHOULD be less than the git.

But until proved otherwise...I think we should assume that you are right. What an honour for those plucky Men of Kent!

Only 289! Hold on a minute dont they have this wonder sporting complex, albeit it with an athletic track.

The ground sounds a little familiar to the Gills groundshare speculation. Totally inappropiate for a non-league clubs needs:

Gateshead International Stadium:
The International Stadium can boast World Class sporting facilities, seating approximately 11,800 people in the four different stands. The Stadium is used all year round as a multi purpose venue for events such as music concerts and large scale sports: Athletics, Football and Rugby (The Stadium also being the home venue of the North East's premier Rugby League club Gateshead Thunder). The Stadium Sports Hall also hosts regular events such as Computer and Crafts Fairs.
