Andrew (Taff) Martin has been invited back to the club for pre season training with a view to a new contract and Jamie Southen has a meeting tommorrow with Garry Hill with regard to accepting a full time role in the new team.

Garry Hill is looking to sign 8 new players before pre season to compliment the two new signings (Mark Venus and Tarkan Mustafa) and the above retained players.

The Management, Officials, fans, players retained and all connected with Hx FC wish to thank the players leaving for their total commitment and loyalty to the club. We wish them well and ask them please to always treat the club as their own. You will always be welcome.

Garry Hill is committed to full time players only for next season. The club is committed to mounting a first time challenge on the inaugural Alliance South Championship.

Thank you for your support. I'm sure the above information will be keenly debated.

I must say there are a few Shocks Vinnie John, Ollie Adedeji, John Keeling and Danny Kerrigan being listed. Thanks for the effort the players who have left have put in and best of luck in their careers .

I'm really hoping that Jamie signs a new contract, to me he has been the best player in the last few months and in my humble opinon an ideal captain.

I'm chuffed for Chris as many know it hasn't been an easy year for him and he must have really impressed to earn a new contract. Dougie has done fantastically in the time with Hillsy at the helm.

GH Looking for 8 new signings, what an interesting summer it will be.

Well Everyone Can Have A Say And This Is Mine !

Why Are We Releasing Ollie He Is Quality ! We Did The Same With Chris Moore Who Went To A Higher League Club And Is Now Doing Fantastically Well ! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !

Vinnie John The Only Player We Have Who Can Score Goals !

Danny Cowley, He Is A Good Player. Just Not Been Given A Chance !

Well At Least Gary Abbott's Going !

I Hope Both Danny Kerrigan And Tony Maynard Both Stay !

At Least Scott Ain't Going

Daniel Gay's Staying

UB you have to understand that with the club going full time some players cannot give 100% day in day out. This may well of been the case with Ollie and JK, so don't get to upset about it fella...

I agree Kerrigan and Maynard are both worth a punt, but obviously the Manager thinks otherwise. It's all about opions UB and that's why we love football so much.

The one player i was sad to see transfer listed was Bertie as I feel he has the quality to make it. You never know he might prove himself and stay!!!!

it's good that we have freedom of speech on this forum because i'm pretty sure that many urchin fans that have watched all the players this season will have a few words to say about those being released. i would just like to thank every player for doing his best this season and would like to wish all the players departing from hornchurch f.c. all the very best for the future, we will miss you....

Well...its the curates egg.good in parts and to say the least a bit perplexing in others.Adding the rider,of course, that at this stage we have no idea who the replacements will be it would be churlish to complain too much but thats never stopped me before so................

Danny kerrigan has been outstanding all season, consistent, intelligent and reliable. Why an earth he is going is a mystery.

Vinnie would have been a good squad member as he can play central defence and up front. He has been a great servant to the club and I am sure every supporter will wish him the very best and say a big thank you for all he has done for this club.

Ollie has been magnificent this season,ok maybe not the most stylish defender but tremendously effective.I hope this doesnt turn out to be another blunder like the one that saw Chris Moore

sent packing to a higher league with Gravesend where he was voted their player of the season.

John Keelings departure will I confidently predict be the biggest mistake of all.He is the only player at the club who can go past players at will.george Borg left him out after he had had just a couple of so so games and never really fancied him after that.Logic suggets therefore that he is not good enough. However he is.....just watch him go for his next club.

The retaining of Jamie Southon and Andy Douglas is great news.Earlier in the season you probably would have got 100 to 1 of them being kept on.They have both seized their chance not only due to the great work ethic which any club needs but also because they are good and honest players.

Incidentally I have a friend who watches Yeading regularly who tells me Nevin Saroya is a rare and special talent.........central defender...we have a vacancy there dont we ??????

I'll have my two penneth as well in 'Unc' mode

kilo and ollie would have undoubtedly been retained if they had made the commitment to go full time...

chrissie moore was an exceptional player but managers have views....GB didn't get on with him and that will always happen...

bertie is an unknown quality...GB paid a record fee for him and we haven't seen what he can do...again its all about a managers view...

in every way its about a managers view....

we have the best manager in non league footie...lets trust him and enjoy the ride as we have for the past two seasons....

as UB says.....what beckons....??

as I said earlier on another forum.....

if we were managing the club we'd have 60 players in the squad.....

fans are fans...managers carry the burden of responsibility....

As you say Unc fans are fans and we can only give fan views !

There is a huge amount of confidence in Gary because of his reputation and i'm sure the players he will bring in will be of an even better standard than we have seen before !

I would like to thank all of the players that have been released and I hope they continue to play and wish them well at their next clubs.

I was surprised with some who have been released and some who have been offered new contracts.

I just hope that when GH goes on the transfer hunt he looks out for some decent strikers, because we are looking a bit thin up front, to say the least.

Well I know fottie works in mysterious ways, but is there a need for spring cleaning to those depths?

Thanks to all who gave it their best shoot as we did do well, hope we can only get better as long as there isnt to much tinkering!!!

This is a REAL dissapointment!

I can understand Jon's outside-football commitments, but what are Ollie's? I remember reading in his "interview with Max" that he has a BSc in Engineering. I take it his other commitments are related to this?

Kilo's departure will not be taken too well when I tell mini-Mal in the morning!

Kerrigan's departure will sadden me to. Young fella with bundles of potential, and more than held his own this past season.

On the plus, the retention of Andy, John Martin and others is encouraging.

I'd also like to say Thank You and Good Luck to all those players who will be moving on.

its all relative...MM had a brief to get us into the premier league and he did that....

Georgies brief was top six and good cup runs...he did that.....

two very successful seasons...who could doubt it....

Garry Hills brief is different....

only the championship will do...he knows that and thats why he's here...he's been there.... seen it.... done it... at this level....

we have three years left to achieve our stated aim of two years ago...five years to the Nationwide third....and a new stadium....

hang on to our hats and enjoy the ride next season....

in the meantime...

fck it...I need a break....

I bet your daughter will be gutted, Mal. Well at least she managed to get his shirt.

He may come to Canvey, you never know. We'll swap him for Scott Forbes!

Keeling going to Canvey. After reading your programme on Saturday, I don't think that's unrealistic. He's more than capable of being a Conference player. Other than that, Feck off YA!!

But seriously, Kilo's gonna be a legend down at our place...especially for THAT goal against Burton. Terrific fella off the pitch...and I especially wish him all The Best.
