Congratulations on your win yesterday.

 

My apologies to Gary and the rest of you for not attending.

 

Jan, ('Er Indoors), had been waiting for some months to have a couple of skin bi-opsies taken to test for cancer, and after me moaning to the N.H.S. (as I do frequently), she was offered at very short notice, the chance to have it done on Friday afternoon at a local private hospital. (Soft music, FREE tea and coffee ! How B.U.P.A. patients live, and the N.H.S. paid for it).

 

ANYWAY ... She was feeling rather 'tender' on Saturday morning, so we decided to give the match a miss, but by this time, it was rather too late to let you all know.

 

Glad you liked the Meadowbank setting, with Box Hill and the North Downs nestling in the background.

 

Sorry about the lack of burgers ! I thought The Management had been made aware of your massive attendance. I trust you managed a sociable drink in our humble club-house during and after the game !

 

I will watch your progress with great interest !
