Say Town win their game in hand.? That will make them 4 points behind you having played the same games.Right.?

 

If on the next round of fixtures, Abbey draw and Town win, that will make Town two points behind you .Thus if Town beat Abbey at home,Town will go a point clear.so yes.Town need Abbey to drop points.But one draw will do it.(presuming both teams win all their other games,up until the two sides clash).

Crisis brewing at Crappershots. They've lost two of their last three games, Derek Bird is going back to Enfield and their players are wilting under the pressure at the top. Should their manager go? I think so. Hhahahahahahahah, bet they wish it were called off now!!!

It's funny how when the Abbey have smart [****!!****] comments about losing runs turned back at them, they don't like it. I also note that the nasty element at Abbey showed their heads again. Threats from the losing Abbey fans sounds all too familiar. I think they ought to get their house in order before making false accusations about other team fans.

We all know the linos in the ESL are crap. It's the only league where I have seen a lino waving for offside while running up the line to keep up with play. The pitch isn't wonderfull at the Abbey. One of the highlights of Abbey's win against ETFC was the Abbey player going to trap the ball only to have it bobble up and hit him in the gob,

Enjoyed watching the match yesterday afternoon in the company of several other Towners. Spent the last 10 minutes, or so, of the match chatting with former EFC favourite Lee Holmes, there to watch his son Riki who was playing for Burnham. The last time I remember ETFC facing this player was a couple of seasons back, when he turned out for Brentwood. On that occasion, Lee was playing cricket, so it was his parents, Madge & Geoff, who came to support Riki. It has been very pleasant to see such famiiar faces from the EFC past.

Sponsor, what he is saying is that 3rd place teams will not even be considered for promotion, so whatever happens to the top 2 they won't even have a chance of going up. Hope that clears that one up.

Only one player got sent off, are you sure you were watching the right match or did you have those ETFC blinkers on again?


Southport looked at me and I looked at him and we were not sure who he was threatening but as I was the taller and Southport was less visible I think it was me he was threatening.

The one player that deserved to be sent off was the one that hobbled off! I pressume the other got involved!

Hmm...

.. I guess what I wrote was not as clear as I thought it was at the time when I wrote it which at the time made perfect sense to me which is why I wrote it in the first place but just so that you are aware of what I meant to write even if to you it didn't read the way i intended to write it i will spell it out to you:

IF Waltham Abbey finish top
If Burnham Ramblers finish 2nd
ETFC will be saying "Welcome ESL for another season"

or, to put it another way, ONLY the top two teams will be considered for promotion.

3rd place teams will not be considered true if you come first and have your ground to standard you have no worries about who comes second will you! Three teams have put up for promoion Burnham, Town and Abbey. Burnham and Town meet the requirements can Abbey in time?

If Burnham comes first neither you or Town will need to worry!
