Popovic gone?

During the commentary on Radio Kent, the commentator said that "there has been whispers that Popovic has left the club, as he was on non-contract terms."

 

Is this true..?

Yep! I was at the game and heard that his agent had recalled him. And Andy wanted to get a fans perspective. Hope he knows how we feel week after week.

It's the usual thing though Richard, different mentality of slagging them off. I was disgusted yesterday, some people really let themselves down with their comments about the players.

Must've been difficult for some - I myself was extremely peed off with some of the players - but would never let them know that and always encourage. But that doesnt excuse people verbally abusing the same players that took us to third - quite right.

 

I believe that losing Perkins, Walshe and Abbey has costed us.

Spoke with Ben Abbey today, he is currently not playing for anyone.

He was aware that Fordy had gone, and still looks out for our results.

We could do a lot worse than get him back.

 

 

Perks is back in the country in April, too late for this season , but I know that he enjoyed his time down at the Fleet and prior to Fordy going he would have had no hesitation in coming back. Not sure now tho.

Well, I'd agree with two thirds of that. Personally I was never all that sure about Walshe.

Also, what about Haworth? Patently not the mythical '20-goal-a-season man' that everyone loves to go on about, but frankly we could do a lot worse than him at the moment.

the only thing with haworth is that he got injured quite easily. But i read that he seems quite setled at the metropolitan police so i dont think we will be seeing him again

It's been going on all season. No they've really got something to moan about after Dagenham.
A particular bad example of abuse directed at one of the players was a couple of weeks ago, a two fingered gesture. I ask you, perhaps it's no wonder our players have gone off the boil

i think we miss walshe, perkins, haworth. walshe was young and still learning had a lot of quality. to let him go for jacko, was a mistake by andy. ive always prefferd haworth to roy.if we could get perkins back great.

I have it on fairly good authority that he may be having trials at Portsmouth...... I kid you not!!!

 

If Dave sees this he should be able to confirm this one!

 

Mind you, from what I can understand, Portsmouth would look at almost anyone at the moment.

Wouldn't surprise me - he was top class. Made the game look easy, and was able to dictate the pace of the game around him.
