slough vs thurrock match thread

About 30 Thurrock behind the goal, sure there were some others scattered around, but considering they had free coach travel, poor travelling turn out.

Deserved the win against the kick and hope team. We played the neater football, had the lions share of possession, but as usual, didn't really turn that into clear chances.

would agree with above summation; felt referee was poor - especially on a few key decisions.....surprised he gave us a penalty really...probably would have ignored it had the claim come after the Hodges incident...still a very good win and performance overall - felt everyone had a good game today. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/rockon.gif" alt="" />

Thought we played really well especially second half. They were not that great and I thought we made them look pretty bad, but the closed us down well giving us little time and space.

Though Michael Murphy was MOM by a mile. Plus we were down to ten-men for the last seven minutes when Mets was sent-off for his second yellow of the match.

Hope Alex stays, but bit worried the way he was chasing the ball at the end - he give his all for one last Rebels performance? (hope i'm wrong). Plus if Alex Goes Danny Steer won't come in - he was on crutches in the ground today.

Well done Rebels!

By the sounds of it and after what we've noticed when we've played conference south teams there isn't much difference between the two levels.

Lewes doing well is a good example of this

Excellent performance. The three centre halfs played superbly - we look a much more solid side with Mike Murphy in there. Mets was excellent despite the sending off and I though Harris looked very lively. Was not at all impressed with Purfleet who seemed to think that strong armed tactics and bad mouthing would see them through. Their keeper was a decent bloke.
