I am sure with all the training Gleds will have to take on he will have little spare time. and with the travelling now involved by simply being a Conference team he probably cannot get the time from work. Playing for Welling even if only for a few games is good news all round, he does a good job for Welling ( as he certainly did for us) and those who cannot travel to our away games can pop to Welling and give him some support, I am really sorry to see him go, but he has to look long term and sort out his future especially with the added responsibility of his baby daughter.

James Pinnock, what a lovely lad, never moaned or groaned when left on the bench, I hope he does well he certainly deserves it. I think he would probably be the first to admit he did not shine last season,

I wish both of these lads all the very best and thanks for all you have done for GNFC.

Do you seriously think Welling would sign someone who will play "just a few games"

Get real he will miss very few due to old bill committments. He is your loss and our gain, he only left after a disagreement with Daish and was quickly snapped up (weeks ago) by Ade.

One disagreement wouldnt be sufficient to make a player leave - especially to a lower level club.

He wouldnt have been guaranteedregular firstteam footieat Fleet - Proths would generally be first choice at right back and no matter how well he did at Centre Half, there are many other specialist Centre Halfs out there who are just as good in the position.

Perhaps that had something to do with his "disagreement" (if it happened) and his departure from the club?

After speaking to Lee after the final game of the season, I got the general concensus from him that he would love to stay with the fleet, but joining the MET meant that he would not be able to sign a full time contract because of the intense training that he was about to undertake, and the fact that his shift pattern would not, eventually, permit him to play consistently.

Then why did you write "I said a couple of days ago"? Who'll tell me if I ask around? People in the street, on the terraces? "Hey, did mikefleet scoop everyone back in February?

There's a word in the dictionary (if you've got one at home) called 'humility'. Another one called 'modesty'.

Rather than going :" What do you of how great this is?" which is bound to lead to people slagging you, why don't you just do your stuff without asking for a reaction all the time.

Of course, the club's policy is to offer part-time players the chance to stay if they don't want to go full-time. If the above is true, I presume Conkers just decided to jump ship early, given that he wouldn't have been able to stay when the club eventually expects to go 100% full-time.
