Thame game off?

Thame United have been thrown a lifeline with three other Southern League clubs offering the opportunity to groundshare.

It looked as if the Division One West outfit would have to withdraw from the league after they had their Windmill Stadium ground repossessed by landowner Coleman Properties on Friday.

But now three clubs - Aylesbury United, Berkhamsted Town and Swindon Supermarine - have offered them the use of their facilities.

Thame secretary Fred Saulsbury also revealed that the league had been supportive of their plight.

"They are excellent," he said. "They are very aware and supportive of our situation and have just asked to be kept in the loop.

"We have not resigned from the league and at this moment in time we don't intend to.

"On Friday we didn't have any other option, but the clubs that have offered us the opportunity to ground share are Southern League clubs, so there would not be a problem with facilities.

"However, we don't know what the requirements from the three clubs that have made the offer are.

"It could be that what they want for ground-sharing may be beyond us."

Looks doubtful the game vs them will go on...any news Malc?
