How's this for a thought.....

Lets lose against St Margaretsbury on Tuesday, that way we can concerntrate on winning the league....

After all, I do remember conversations at the end of last season suggesting that we had played too many extra games (ie good cup and trophy runs)and the team were probably tired!

It's your manager it seems. No previous managerial experience, got you releagted then with a massive budget couldn't get you up and now your behind in the league already with fellow big spenders Fisher, Dons and Braintree competing and then to cap it all 0-0 against a bunch of farmers from St. Margetsbury.
Aren't you full time as well?

Highly entertaining...now which league are your lot in....can't quite recall...must be awful supporting such a forgettable club....

You probably just need to look at all the national papers and you'll be reminded as the print the tables from the CONFERENCE SOUTH in them, however finding the tables for your league is very hard, can I subscribe to some weekly Sunday League Pub round - up, maybe I could get them by Thursday the following week

Spurs now isn't it Thornsey, now that they have had a good start to the season and St. Albans aren't doing as well?

Never been Spurs my old china, pop along with my mates from time to time if it doesn't clash with City.
And you should really keep an eye on the division you aspire to be in next season (unless you're too busy keeping an eye on Ryman 1 ) as City are sitting pretty in the play off zone with 4 wins and a draw from the last 5 games, 13 goals acored and 1 conceded, including 9 goals in our previous 2 home games.

I also was disappointed with the team performance yesterday, I’m also disappointed by the reaction of some supporters, particularly after the final whistle and on this forum.

What were you expecting? A standing ovation, well done you held a team 2 levels below you with only 10 men for 60 minutes, who put 10/9 men behind the ball to a 0-0 draw? If we had gone out there and had chance after chance after chance and hit the cross bar about 5 times then, I assume, they would of got a better reception, but they didn't.

I also think they deserve credit for holding us to a draw.
Well, I had to fly as soon as the final whistle went on Saturday but I am sure I saw our "Blue Army" behind the goal break into a decent round of applause at the end - I remember being quite surprised by the reaction actually, fearing the worst after a 0-0 draw in a match we were supposed to win comfortably. Or maybe it was sporting appreciation for the home side who put in an exceptional effort ? From where I was standing (next to you most of the game Martin!) I didn't hear any serious stick given to our players, I thought we were remarkably patient on the whole on a frustrating afternoon. Maybe I missed something while starting my car up in the car park at two minutes past five ...

I ended up moving because for some reason I ended up as a chav magnet!!

I didn't hear anything untoward at the final whistle, I thought most people walked off mumbling to themselves.

I think FOTB may have a point here!

If you go back over our last ten home games(April 2nd last season),we have only won two of them,Slough and Chelmsford this season.

If you go back over the same period,we have played sixteen games and won only five of them!

Although there were a couple of good away wins against Slough and Hampton, there were some poor performances against Chelmsford,Worthing,Hendon and Leyton.

Perhaps this situation has just 'crept up' on us or perhaps it just 'statistics'!
