Plenty of new faces at the ground by all accounts. 400+ against lowly oppo on a freezing saturday which is not at all surprising for a team with one defeat in 18 games and that one against league opposition. Quite a benchmark for Ricay and others to chase despite Gazzas sarcastic tone.

But you were quick to contribute to a thread concerning the legions of new people who had registered on your forum, Oz. Not so keen now, then? Fair dinkum.

 

Were you one of the 400, Oz? Or are you relying on official attendance figures?

Dunno what your on about, you don't require registration on the forum which I involve myself with and 7000 hits on that forum and an average of 85 different visitors daily since Nov 6 isn't all that bad. Official match attendance figures are the benchmark I guess, but have to say during the two seasons I did attend virtually every game travelling from Brentwood 2002-4 their did actually seem more present in the ground at Cressing Road than official figures were suggesting, I assumed (maybe wrongly)that players family, club helpers and the disabled were not added to the gate.

 

No couldn't get the time off for the 48 hours flying never mind the taxi fare from Heathrow <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

AFF, was it really 3,000 odd registrations on the Braintree forum? I'm trying to do the math from 3,000 odd to 400 (minus the away support - if any)...

All of those with the hots for Kez, jojo, Arsenal 118 and, subject to their personal tastes, Iron Hammer, UIRON, and 'Mr' Cheese among 4233 others could be in for a disappointing surprise!

 

Perhaps the 'authorities' concerned to ensure proper use of the internet and limit the opportunity for those with evil intent to masquerade as someone they clearly are not, should contact Iron Webbo and seek his approval to use the Braintree forum as an object lesson in a national advertising campaign.

 

Then again, perhaps not.
