Weather / Games OFF

Recommended Posts

I was just going to start the same thread. It's pouring down here as well, been raining all night. I would hope that our game is on, as our pitch and drainage is in good order. I would not be supprised if there are a number of games off this afternoon. Leverstock with their slope could prove for an interesting game in the rain for you today, I expect you to get a result though.

My advice...take a brolly, I am taking my Edgware golf brolly lol

Our game was on, thanks to the good work of our groundsman. Nice to see our own players out there helping out, and the Wingate chairman as well!!!!

0-0 scrappy game? oh, were you getting reports from neturlalfan, I saw he was at the game as he said hello to me.

The first half was scrappy, but the second period we played some excellent football and ran out easy 4-0 winners

Well done Gavin - yes my source was Neutralfan, although you also had our chairman in attendance. How many of your goals were in the last ten miutes this time?

Horace, your chairman was at the game? did he make himself known in the clubs boardroom over a cuppa and chocolate digestive? or was his presensce more for a club/scouting mission?

Dont have the goal times to hand (dont you get the bullitin the league send out?) but at a guess I would say 2, the 4th was an OG in the last min.

We score goals in the last 15 mins of the game because the team are so fit.

That was ST Mags heaviest league defeat this season, you drew wth the 2-2 right?

Gavin -
Our chairman was unlikely to have introduced himself - he rarely goes in the boardroom, even when its our game.
For some reason, haven't got the bulletin win goal times yet.

St Mags v us was a local derby, and a battle. We scored our second on 91 minutes and they scored their second on 94 minutes!

According to my sources, St Mags should have had an early penalty yesterday, when the score was 0-0. Expected you to win though.

Edgware very deserved winners and to be fair the score could've been higher. St Mags were short of players and had a few youth / reserves playing and against a team like Edgware it wasn't going to be an ideal game for them. I think St Mags had 3 shots in the game of which one was on target so that sums up the Edgware dominance.

Can't beleive JB scored an oggie in the last minute to ruin my 3-0 with Joker result in the predictions!!!!!

Gav, you're certainly a lot quieter when Hertford aren't present.

Good to meet Rak as well as Daddy Blackbourne.
