Edgware come away with a point from Harefield

Recommended Posts

Edgware drew 1-1 at Harefield UTD, a point gained rather then two lost, given the results from Leverstock and WGC beating Hertford

A draw was a fair result, though I have to admit that Harefield put us under pressure like no other side has this season in the second half.

An incompentent ref did not help our case, but Harefield are a good side, a bit on the phyical side, and we play more football on the ground then them, but they got stuck in more then us.

In my opinion the two best sides in the SSML played eachother this afternoon, and came up all square. Roll on January 23rd when we have the home match

The crowd was 157 beating the pevious best at Hertford by 1 !!! There were around 40 Edgware fans there

Harefield's ground is the best I have been to the this season, very tidy nice stands and good atmosphere, theirs and Tring are the best two grounds so far.

Gavin - Good pics, yes, as you say, Harefield's Preston Park home is certainly one of the best, if not the best, in the SSML with good bar facilities although it's one of a number with mobile phone telephone masts all over the place and I never feel comfortable with unknowingly getting my brain fried for 90 minutes every so often, it's putting money before common sense, people's health and arguably lives.

Has the link between telephone masts and brain disease actually been proved. Indeed has it actually been officially recognised by the government. rhodes as a mandarin in Whitehall you must be party to these things so is the truth known in your circles but not told to the general public?

Lato - I thought it was common knowledge that a link had been established between telephone masts and long term brain disease and that's why Club's such as Harefield United and, in particular, Welwyn Garden City should be ashamed of themselves for 'selling their souls to the devil'.

Tubbsy8 - Well I'll get on the case but surely it goes without saying that four mobile phone telephone masts, Welwyn Garden City style, within a hundred yards of each other is enough to fry someone's brain in the long term even just by attending one game a season there for a 90 minute period of time. They must be getting a fortune from those masts but it's 'dirty money' in my opinion, it is noticeable that there isn't any housing in the immediate area or, God forbid, School's.

if it hasn't been proven that telephone masts actually lead to brain disease then how can you say that about WGC....incompetent twit!!

So if KTFc ever get to play at WGC I presume you won't be going.

Health risks from telephone masts is a joint responsibility between HSE and DH, there has been no conclusive evidence either way. I can post the latest advice for you all when I get to work on Monday.
