We played poorly today.I felt we missed the pace of the injured Dave Allen at the back,and once again Jim ballsed up the formation for a big game,only to revert to our normal system when it was to late.We've done that twice against Hornchuch this season and against EFC at home.Also not the best time to play two Left backs in the centre of defense.

 

Thats twice now that Hornchurch have beaten us 2-1 this season without playing that well themselves.On both occassions we have shot ourselves in the foot with a below par performance.

A tough and hard game that was ruined by some c*ap officials. AFCH deserved their 2-0 lead at half time. Our defending was rubbish and we really missed Disco Dave. Second half was much better and we would have pulled one back earlier if it had not been for a superb save from their keeper. It was great to see us finally pull a late one back. However, an AFCH fan would say they just about deserved the win. An ETFC fan wold say we deserved a point but a neutral would say an AFCH win was just abot right. By the way, Magona should have been sent off.

Perfect summary, evidently what you do is put two centre backs on the bench, play your left back in the middle of a back three & get caught out with every attack with a ball over the defence.
The whole team were poor today with maybe the exception of JJ, Tickner, & Jones.
It really did look like men aginst boys in the first half & the men were only average!

Disapointed with the urchins ground, was that really conference standard? I thought I was entering the local garden centre with all that decking & parasols, we then had a beer in a glorified caravan and then went out to find an "Ilford-esque" ground......bloody awful!

No,no,no Uncle the hospitality was exemplary, food was good & your support is the best ive seen in a long while, but you know when you go somewhere for the first time & have an image of something, but you end up disapointed, well thats all it was.

You well deserved your win although think you can play much better than you did today.
