It would appear that the latest FA press release lines the FA up in agreement with the proposed conference expansion (but next season)

So what now Ryman, Dr Martins etc

Somewhere hovering between senior county and conference div 2 sides is going to be rather demeaning and also lacking appeal for players and local sponsors alike

Money talks and at this precise moment its whispering "conference"

Well the Dr Martens League voted overwhelmingly to support the idea of two feeders to the Conference, so that kinda puts Mr Turvey and his happy band in a bit of a spot doesn't it.

Should make the scramble to finish in the top 14 or so next season most interesting.

You are assuming that Conference are going to wait a year.

 

John Moules seems very desperate to flex his muscles, and is talking about legal action on the grounds that Alan Turvey and the secretary? of the Unibond were on the panel that stopped it happening and should have declared an interest.

 

This has a way to go yet.
