Bizarre Records

Blondie (I think) released a Limited Edition single, which had both the a- and b-sides on one side of the single.

 

This doesn't sound strange, until I explain that the two songs were on separate grooves that ran concurrently next to one another, so that when you put the needle on the start of the record, you don't know which of the two songs it's going to play.

 

Did I explain that ok??

I'm aware of a Frank sidebottom album that played different tracks on either headphone, therefore doubling the number of songs on 1 record. Also The Flaming Lips once released a 4cd album each with different instruments on which you are supposed to play all at the same time(i.e 4 different stereos) and they pointed out that every time you listened to it, it would be slightly different...
