Goals from James Rowe and Kevin Dobinson during the first-half.

Canvey lined-up:

1. James Russell

2. Tarkan Mustafa

3. Andrew West

4. Frank Everett

5. Ben Patten

6. Ryan Edgar

7. Gabriel Fanibuyan

8. Kevin Dobinson

9. Jay Curran

10. James Rowe

11. Greg Cohen

SUBS: Stuart Batch, Craig Davidson, Nick Reynolds, Chris Moore, Richard Bastin.

Mustafa went off injured during the first-half and was replaced by Davidson, the injury looked quite bad to Mustafa's torso, but he managed to walk to the treatment room.

Wakering are a team that always give Canvey trouble, putting up a good fight and tonight was no exception.

The Referee was extremely questionable though!

Also, am I the only one who thought it was actually Patten that went off when it was announced as Everett? I know I need to book an eye-test but didn't think I was that bad yet.

I saw the Physio signal something like a dislocation, but from my angle over the other side of the ground it looked like Mustafa was holding his side, so thought it may have been a cracked rib.

Glad it's not too bad, not much tennis for him though.

He did seem in quite a bit of pain. Good to see him back in a Canvey shirt, he was brilliant last season and I think that it would be a major plus if he remained part of the squad this year. Also good to see Danny Kerrigan in attendance following his injury against Chelmsford, encouraging signs.
