Was that a penalty or not? Any thoughts? It was on the blind side of the ref and linesman (and me) so couldnt easily give it, but there was a loud call from the majority of supporters in that corner in front of the incident. (I suspect the Sky Cameras werent in the right place to give a clear view either?)

To be honest, Alan, it was hard to say from my viewpoint (near the back of the Plough End). The defender's arm was close to his chest, and so it was impossible to tell from just one viewing.

The instant reaction of the crowd to shout for it, "as one" suggested it was, but if it wasnt clear, you cant give it, so no blame on the ref for that.

Incidentally, what about Telfords second penalty last night? The defender simply fell on the ball and I cant see that was a penalty.
