Will be missing their 1st choice keeper, Tony Roberts, when they play us as he got sent off today with a straight red, apparently for hitting an Accrington player with the ball nowhere near (the ConferenceFootball camera, not surprisingly missed the punch).

 

Their backup keeper looked a little dodgy as well, based on the little bit of action on ConferenceFootball.tv, so unless they get a loan keeper in, it could be helpful to us on Tuesday week.

Amusingly, Pretendergast in fact angered Roberts by allegedly diving to win a penalty under challenge from Ashley Vickers, making it two pieces of play-acting within a matter of seconds.

I know it's harsh to judge the incident from a still photograph, but nonetheless Rory's reaction doesn't look too realistic here, given that he was allegedly only tapped on the chin...

My esteemed behind the goal stander Red Neck is apparently going to do this.

When lifted the cards must be accompanied by submarine diving noises and shouts of Dive Dive Dive.

If he fails to take notice of the cards then someone should actually shoot him so he knows what it feels like to go down like he's been shot.

With the Daggers crowds falling a lot quicker than ours are rising, can't see our next home game against them getting the bumper crowd that we hoped for, and certainly not topping the Stevenage attendance. The elusive 2000 looks a long way away.

 

Keep the faith
