JKiF
castle in charge saturday gibson, you dont know what your doing well you do, your running our club into the ground.
AFF
Early start JKiF. When Gap Year was appointed at the start of the season, i wondered casually whether odds were available on three managers and a relegation in a single season. I hope I was only right on three oyt of four. Season's greetings JKiF. :-(
Laz
I think Gibbo should have waited until after the Sutton game. This is a must win game as, if we lose, we'll be bottom. Castle's record speaks for itself. Sutton must be happy.
YELLOW
Matt Jones as the Saints' next manager?
Duke of York
I can't belive Gibbo's given Anderson the sack. Haven't been down to CP for a while but I hear he's been making some progress with good results against Torquay United, Bromley and Braintree Town. Good luck in your massive six-pointer on Saturday and good luck in the Setanta Cup when I make my next trip to Clarence Park - Are season tickets valid for the Aldershot Town fixture? YELLOW
He would do a good job and certainly motivate the players. Then again I thought Anderson was capable of getting you out of the rut you are in at the moment. Depends if you can afford Jones.

AFF
He might mean the 2nd round of the Setanta Shield thingy when we thumped 'em err.. er.. 1-1, and the most expensive player in Confedrence Nationale history missed about 27 penalties. AFF
So Yellow. Matt Jones. He managed Ricay for about a season and a half in the Ryman Premier League, didn't he? Highly experienced in comparison with The Schoolboy, I admit. Is that the Matt Jones you're promoting? What's your experience of his player-motivational techniques, then? Boot CleanerEFM
Ahh, thats it. I was thinking it couldnt have been the draw against Braintree in the league. Thanks AFF.

Hatboy
What's Gibson going to do this time cut the budget even more and appoint a manager from the herts under 12's league ?
Boot CleanerEFM
Your giving Gibson to much credit. Herts unders 11's
Canary Saint
At this level a manager needs contacts as well as all the other skills - look at how Lord L. had a knack of picking up new players when required (yes I know, he also had a few notable failures but on the whole they did the job particularly in our promotion year). I therefore, would be happier to see the new man have experience at Southern Conference level or higher. Unfortunately a manager of this ilk would cost - and theres the rub! Boot CleanerEFM
Hanlon had contacts. Who was it that said that.............
Laz
Originally Posted By: AFF What's your experience of his player-motivational techniques, then? I suspect we'll end up with Castle. Bring on the Brackley!
AFF
Steve Brackley? What's the point!
YELLOW
Exactly. Whilst Ricay's resources are hardly meagre, they came very close to winning promotion in a league where Bromley, Chelmsford and Wimbledon were flashing the cash. He hardly had a huge squad available to him so did very well with what he had. OK, it went a bit pear shaped this season, but he still guided them to the First Round of the FA Cup losing narrowly to League one opposition. He also has an eye for a bargain. He signed Chris Whelpdale from a lower league club and sold him to Peterborough around a year later. Did the same in nurturing Nathan Elder who went to Brighton. There seem to be a few players at ricay who he has signed who could play at a higher level so he seems to know what makes a decent player. That and he is an ex St Albans player so has some knowledge of the club. Think he's worth a go although he won't come cheap.
