Attendances

Got a question about attendance figures at this level.

 

I was at an away ground a few weeks back for a mid-week game. The official attendance was listed as being over 150 but I swear there was less than half that number there. Did they for some reason include all the people there that don't pay to enter? What's the benefit of artificially inflating the attendance figure other than making your club look better supported than it is?

Clubs have to register their attendances.

 

CCL attendance, like all non-league attendance appear to be falling.

 

Not sure if some clubs include freebies and comps.

Still not sure why a club would bump their figure up though.

I am not 100% certain but i think of you average over 100 per home game per season and apply of Fa grants you have a better chance of getting the grant with better than average league attendences.

 

I may also be more appealing to prospective sponsors if they are lead to believe the level od people could be higher.
