I had a chat about the match on the RK breakfast show on Monday morning with John Warnett and was able to thank Matt Davison for his words at the end of the Saturday sports show. We had just driven back far enough to get in to FM range and Matt said words along these lines as he closed the show:

" Never mind EbbsFleet Untited, never mind MyFC, this one today is for all those Gravesend fans who have followed the Fleet since the days of the Beazer Homes league. Congratulations you guys".

It just put the icing on the cake for a day that I will always cherish.

Don't know if it's still there, but check Radio Kent website and if there's a link for Listen Again : Saturday Sports Special, he's a few minutes into the broadcast there.

 

At least he was on Sunday!

Well worth listening to the Chas clip if it is available. They have played it a few times now and it basically consists of what a lot of us we screaming yeeees! yeeeees! yeeees!, yeeees!
