Ash United 0-2 Reading Town

Reading Town beat Ash United 2-0 away today to get 3 vital points. Reading Town dominated the first half with several good chances going wide. On the other hand Ash United were very slow getting started and never really threatened Scott Hodgetts goal. Reading Town kept on pushing for the goal and finally got it when Ross Herridge slotted it past the Ash United keeper to make it 1-0 much to the delight of the Barmy Army.

 

 

Second Half: Ash United were playing much better and creating a few good chances to score. At the other end Reading Town came close hitting the baked beans on toast (otherwise known as the bar.) Ash were still pushing for the equalizer but this came about to their downfall when they were left short at the back and the Town player scored to pile on the misery for the Ash United fans. Ash United did have a few chances nearer the end but Scott Hodgetts was rarely ever tested. In the end Reading Town ran out comfortable winners 2-0 to go 15th in the table

 

The Barmy Army were as loud as ever singing/drumming for the Town. The Ash fans did not enjoy the consistent drumming/chanting. Nobody exoects any noise at this level but it shore does intimidate the fans and players.
