Good luck to reserves tomorrow

Tough game for them away to Chatham tomorrow.

we still need 1 point to be mathematically safe from relegation.

Seems like the reserves are turning out quite a strong settled side recently though.

Good game at HDP for you lucky locals on wednesday- at home to Dover

Margate went 1-0 down after 17 minutes, when Chatham's No 10 scored from 10 yards.

They equalised on 57 minutes, Shane Browns volley was well saved by the keeper, but bounced into the chest of the Chatham No4 and into the net for an OG.

Either side could have won it, Margates best chance fell to German but the keeper made a good save.

Chathams winner was a fine strike - A volley from 18 yards, 30 seconds into added time.

A very good performance all round especially considering they travelled with only 11 players

A very young team (ages are in brackets)

Matt Lamprell(17) Jason MacAree(19) Ryan Harker (24) Shannon MacNamee(17) Luke Wheatley(16) Elliot Payne(18) Joe Justice(18) Chris Lewis(18)Shane Rown(18) Joe Taylor(16)Robbie Summers(well over 30)

Surely we are already safe Michael, Ramsgate are 7 behind with two games left.

Few new names even for me in the side in Joe Justice (tho I do know him from cricket) and Luke Wheatley.

No problems Michael, shame we won't have some local derbies in League next season. Ramsgate will still be in Floodlite Trophy I guess though?

Margate are safe with 23 points in 9th position.

Ramsgate have 2 games remaining and with maximum points can only reach 22 points.

If Margate win away to champions Thamesmead on the final game of the season they will still remain 9th in the league.

Good effort from the lads this year considering its a league higher after gaining promotion last year.
