Capital League reflection time

Now that we have only 2 Capital League games remaining I thought it time to reflect on this season, which has continued in the same way as we left off last.

Asa has, in my mind, done wonders in winning the double of the league and the President's Cup with a much changed team for every match. The first teamers coming back from injury and the youngsters making their mark, also some new players who have taken their chances very well. Not forgetting the "extras" at ETFC and last night against Chelmsford.

In fact the last few games have seen a more competitive edge as the opposition seem to have the extra urge to want to beat us.

I give great credit to all the players who have always given 100% and this will continue going into the last 2 games as well.

It was special seeing the "not so old" Urchins last night, and to get a view of Crippsy in full flight, finding the bottom corner of the net brought back many memories. Alas we could not "Feed the Wolff" but it was so close. For those not too sure, Wolffy was hitting goals for fun at the same time as the Soccer AM thingy about the goat.

Good to see DH and NS in charge as well whilst not forgetting that our very own Ronnie has spent many a Capital night coaxing and encouraging all and sundry, followed by the same in the bar afterwards.

Once again well done to all and to the few fans that have braved the cold Capital nights. Don't forget that there are two matches left, so let's give Asa's Aces a good send off to the Summer.

Leighton away and Brimsdown home.

Please keep in touch for the dates.
