Game OFF - Kentish Town v Biggleswade Town (10am pitch inspection)

 

Thank you Kentish Town for a thoroughly professional approach to this and arranging the early inspection to prevent wasted travelling. With standing water on the pitch and heavy clouds threatening overhead a correct decision IMO. My own 168 mile round trip can be saved for another day.

 

Bigg Town ressies kick off their league season today at home to Kent Athletic (3pm) game ON. After the ressies 7-0 win over Caldecote last week we are hoping for a good start to the league season.

In any event, I'm over the moon. Got the chance to see our Reserves kick off their league season today by beating Kent Athletic 11-0 at home in Div 2 East.

 

Crowd of 42 as well, not bad for the ressies and with Bigg Utd playing at home just up the road.

Good win, good start I would bet Kent Athletic are another team that might go the same way as MK Wanderers after this year.

Thank you once again for the excellent hospitality yesterday. The new stadium is superb and very state of the art. I wish you all the best for the coming season, and who knows I may return to the Carlsberg Stadium in the near future.
