Auto go to next post in topic

Hi

 

Not sure if it is just me, but when I click on the red arrow to go to the next unread post, it only takes me to the first post of the whole topic.

 

IS this a global problem?

Hi,

 

Should not be an issue - clicking on should take you to the first unread post.

 

Can I suggest you clear your site cookies via the link in the footer and log back in. You might also have to reset your reading of threads by marking the forums as read (also in the footer), but try the first option first.

Ian can you please advise as I get a similar problem which is not fixed by your suggestions above.

 

When I first look at the forum topic list and press 'go to first unread post' or 'go to last post' I am taken only to the first post of the thread. When I return to the list the topic still shows as having unread posts, even though I have read them.

 

However from then on (or if I first refresh the topic list before starting) everything works fine until I close the window.

 

I usually use Google Chrome, but the same occurred in Internet Explorer.

Yep, done that. Also marked forums as read.

 

It only happens first time I look at the forum after opening the browser.

Still having this problem, and it looks like others are too, judging by the topics/replies on this board. I have to refresh the topic list page before the links to next/last post will work.

So, just to clarify - if you click on the small arrow, you go to the first post in the thread, rather than the first unread post?

 

Clicking on the topic itself would take you to the first post in the thread.

Correct. Until the page is refreshed, then it works properly. Same happens with 'go to last post' link.
